Just watch a
great presentation from a company called Cactus. Watch this web presentation to understand what multi channel really is, and how it will develop in the future. The last 2 years I have listen to a lot of business analytic expert and strategy gurus and they all have the same message. To be successful you will have to be innovative and constantly adapt to new rules and serve your customers in all ways they want to communicate and interact with your company. More than ever is the technology so important than it is right now. For example UPS described themselves 5 years ago as a trucking company with technology, now it is a technology company with trucks.
In the presentation they also present the new version of Commerce Server and I think they have come a long, way both in their way of thinking but also in rich functionality. Commerce Server is really a platform that we will take in a count when we do e-commerce evaluations for our clients.
Watch this presentation to understand:
- What multi channel really is
- The future of e-commerce
- What new in Commerce Server 2009

There were two days of interesting presentations and mingling with people from all parts of the web industry. Here is a sum up of the trends presented in the presentations and discussed during the breaks.

To succeed in today’s business environment companies must find innovations and differentiate themselves from the rest to create what you might call a temporary monopoly. By constantly adapting to what customers are looking for and require and continually improving and changing will stand out and take market share from competitors. Continue reading

Are you using social media as a marketing strategy?
How should you proceed?
How can you calculate ROI on resources spent on social media?
These issues have now been answered in a survey by Michael A. Stelzner who asked 900 e-retailers how they use social media in their marketing. The most interesting finding from this report, was that 88% use social media as a marketing channel, and only 72% have done this less than 5 months.
Is this a new hype, or do Social media ad business value to e-retailers?
The statistics from the survey shows that 81% confirmed that these active increases the brand awareness and drives more traffic to the site and together this increases their sales.
Right or wrong, can you afford to miss this trend and stand beside while all other are testing?

This is a firstrelease, the first post in this blog!
We have no idea where it will end up, but I do think (or hope!?) it will cover all aspects of e-commerce from business oriented to technical questions. I will try to write here once in a while about my days as managing director of an e-commerce consulting company, see you around friends!
